Our Objectives

PAGED Initiative believes that no sustainable development can be achieved from projects and ideas if people are not fully involved and interested in the vision. To this end, PAGED Initiative embraces the credo that social change (towards peace, stability and development) can only be successfully achieved when everyone is involved. In partnership with Civil Society Organisations across Nigeria, PAGED Initiative pursues the following objectives:

  1. To strengthen the ties between Nigerian media and citizens by fostering participatory communication.
  2. To equip marginalized Nigerians, especially women and girls, with participatory media skills-empowering them to tell their own stories and advocate for their rights.
  3. To provide a platform where stories from marginalized groups can be heard/seen.
  4. To diversify mainstream discourse on conflict in Nigeria by building the capacity of Nigerian media on conflict-sensitive reporting.
